This trail starts and ends near Lagoa do Canário and has the total duration of two hours. It crosses all “”Serra Devassa” area were are located the largest number of lakes at São Miguel Island. You may see at this trail, besides the already referred “Lagoa do Canario”, other lakes like “Lagoa Rasa”, “Lagoa das Éguas”, among others. We call your attention to an aqueduct (named “Wall of the nine windows”) which served to transport water for Ponta Delgada, and that can be observed near “Lagoa do Pau Pique”. Signs indicate you easily the way. However, this trail occurs between 750m and 900m altitude and fog is frequent. For that, the best period to do it is between February and October.
